The flat is rather small for a two-bedroom, and decorated like someone's mum tried to figure out what a teenage boy would want his room to look like.
"That's my brother's room," he says, shutting the door as they walk through it. "You don't want to look in there. It's... not good."

That's still not very descriptive, and Nicholas would probably kill Travis for giving people the wrong ideas, but if it keeps people out of there, he's happy.
"Mine's this one."
His room -- the one on the other side of the corridor -- is a bit more personal, and unlike the rest of the flat, actually feels lived in.

"Oh... what sort of game system is it?" Can he take it apart and see how it works? He's gotten the idea that there's no magic in this world and to see how something technological works without magic is ... exciting.
no subject
He might be joking, but he's willing to experiment.
no subject
"Oh... yes..." he says.
no subject
He sits down behind Kale and takes his shirt off, ready to see where this goes.
no subject
This is good, right?
And then goes for his shoes.
"Oh. Yes. yes. It's beautiful."
no subject
Well, all right. Whatever works.
Travis mumbles something affirmative and nudges a bit closer to Kale. See him here? With no shirt. Willing to give you far more attention than a gaming system?

Now they're getting to the good part.
no subject
Yes.
Kale pulls out a screwdriver. It's not sonic, alas, but a regular screwdriver.
He bends over and starts to take apart the PS2

Did he say something?
"It's amazing! There's not a single heat ward on here, how do you ... oh a fan! What about the circuits..." he starts rambling in engineer talk.

He pauses for a second and then takes off his shirt. It's warm in the room.

The door opens suddenly, and thin blond bloke pokes his head in.
"Oi, Travis, I--"
Nicholas stops talking, and barks loudly in shock at the sight of... well, whatever's going on in Travis' bedroom, and he slams the door shut.
"Oh, for crying out loud," Travis mutters as he gets up from the floor. "Just... don't go anywhere."
no subject
Kale comes out of his OoOH shiny trance for a moment (These could be why he hasn't gotten laid in a while) and of course follows Travis. Though he has the good sense, if it could be called that, to hang back in the doorway of the room to watch.
no subject
"Well, what the hell are you doing going in there without knocking?" Travis asks him. "You know what I get up to in there. You're just lucky we weren't on the sofa."
Nicholas pinches the bridge of his nose. "If you were on the sofa, I'm burning it," he says.
Right about now, Nicholas notices Travis' special friend. "Sorry. I didn't realise he had, erm... company."
no subject
He has no shame.
None.
Whatsoever.
no subject
"I don't want to know!" he says. "I'll be back later tonight. Just... be dressed by then."
Travis can't help but laugh as Nicholas leaves the flat, slamming the door behind him.
"Sorry about that," he says. "He's sort of special."
no subject
And trying not to, of course.

"I suppose the PS2 will be there when we're done..."
no subject
Travis pushes his bedroom door open, inviting Kale back in.
"And I'll just put that aside for later," he says with a wink as he takes the screwdriver away.
no subject
Though he's sure they can try and get the bed's warranty voided.
no subject
Still, he's more than willing to void the bed's warranty.
no subject
Ah. yes. There we go!
"There should be something good to drink in here." He starts opening cupboards for beer.
no subject
Which is why he's at the kitchen table, with a cup of tea and one of his newspapers, open to the crossword.
When he sees Kale prancing around like that, he immediately throws up the paper to shield himself from seeing anything he wouldn't want to.
"I'd appreciate it if you wore some clothes whilst in my kitchen," he says stiffly.
no subject
Kale grins at him cheerfully.
no subject
He sounds dead serious. He still hasn't moved the newspaper, though.
no subject
Beer... beer... beer....
no subject
Travis finally emerges from his room in a dressing gown, and holding a second one.
"Just wear it," he all but pleads. "It'll shut him up."
no subject
"Better?"
no subject
It still takes Nicholas a few moments to lower the newspaper, but he says nothing.
Travis turns his attention back to Kale. "Sorry about him," he says quietly. "I really did think he'd be gone today."

"If you want to smoke, you'll have to do that on the balcony," he says.
Kale can probably guess that those are also the boss' orders.
no subject
He takes a can though and gives it a heft. "I can fix your game station though, if y'd like."
no subject
Travis ignores him. "Only if I can watch," he says in response to the remark about fixing the PS2.
